BSE signs an MoU with IIT Alumni Council to facilitate startup listing

BSE, (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IIT Alumni Council to foster start-up listing culture and build a forum for start-ups with ‘strong investor reach.’

The IIT Alumni Council is the largest regional organization of alumni, students and faculty with over 100 city chapters worldwide, across all 23 IITs.

This partnership between BSE and IIT Alumni Council will ensure accountability for the company, enhance governance and market share price discovery, provide liquidity for PE investors and enable retail participation, BSE said in a statement.

Ravi Sharma, IIT Alumni Council’s president and chief volunteer, said to improve access to investor pool for start-ups, the IIT Alumni Council will use AI and other automation tools to minimize the time, costs and efforts involved in the listing process.
