Bollywood actor Sonu Sood leaves no stone unturned to raising the plight of migrant workers, a segment that was affected most badly because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and subsequent restrictions on the lockdown.
The 46-year-old has now helped more than 150 laborers, stranded in Kerala, enter their home in Odisha after feeding and transporting migrant workers trapped in Mumbai.
Sonu had arranged a chartered flight to put an end to their plight.
The flight took off at about 8 am Friday morning from Cochin International Airport for Bhubaneswar in Odisha.
Nine other migrants, who were working in a wood factory, accompanied the 151 women who worked at the garment factory on the trip.
They entered Odisha at approximately 10:30 am.
