Plastic bottles make water easy to carry, but the bottles need energy. It takes more time to unmake the bottle when you’re finished with your drink because plastics won’t dissolve entirely by themselves.
Now a company called Skipping Rock Labs feels we should all absolutely skip the plastic bottles. It created a capsule called “Ooho!”
“It is edible for the transportation of water and is not only biodegradable. Skipping Rock Labs was founded by three design students in London. After working on a plan to collect and repurpose plastic bottles, they started thinking about the way water is stored and consumed on the go. They looked to nature for a safer way to come, finally deciding on a membrane structure. Membranes are used in nature because they are effective — think cells, fruits, and eggs.
They all use membranes to hold liquid, as having material in traction rather than compression is effective.
