The death toll in the multiple landslides caused by incessant rains in the past 24 hours across Nepal has risen to 22, the home ministry said Friday.
Seven people, including three children, have lost their lives in Kaski district due to landslides. Five of them were killed in the wee hours of Friday after a landslide swept away a house in Pokhara Sarangkot area in the district, police said.
In the same incident about 10 people were injured and are seeking care in separate hospitals, they said.
In two separate landslide incidents on Thursday night, three family members were killed in Lamjung district Besishahar, and two others lost their lives in Rukum district Aathbiskot area.
In Myagdi district three people lost their lives in landslides.
