A young man strangled his wife to death on Wednesday in a window extension in south Delhi. After the murder, the young man himself reached Malviya Nagar police station and confessed his crime in front of the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Kumar Thakur said 38-year-old Sumit Mongia lives in a window extension. He does glass work. Deepika and Sumit were married in the year 2009. They both have two children. The two often had quarrels over trivial matters. On the night of 5 November, there was a fight between the two over food. The two clashed again on the morning of 6 November. During this, Sumit angrily strangled Deepika. When Deepika became insensitive, the accused locked the house and went away.
Reached the station after an hour: Sumit reached Malviya Nagar police station about an hour after the murder. There he told the policemen about killing his wife. The policemen took the accused to her house, where Deepika’s body was lying on the floor. The police sent the body for postmortem and arrested Sumit.
Wife strangled to death in an argument
New Delhi (V.C.). A young man, living in Prem Nagar, Najafgarh, strangled a dupatta and killed his wife Sunita during a domestic dispute. Shortly after the murder, accused Narada himself reached the police station and confessed to the crime.
Sunita lived on rent in Prem Nagar area of Najafgarh with husband Narada and two children. Sunita used to cook food in the houses and Narada works as a laborer. On November 4, the Chawla police station received information that a man had killed his wife. Police on the spot found the woman lying on the floor in unconscious condition. A sardine was tied around his neck. A broken vegetable knife and broken bangles were found nearby. Police rushed the woman to the hospital, where doctors declared the woman dead. The crime team also inspected the occasion.
Surrender at the police station: The police were still searching for the accused, meanwhile, the accused reached Narada Najafgarh police station. The matter was related to the Chawla police station, so the accused was handed over to the Chawla police station.
