On Saturday, fresh guidelines under the “unlock 2” process came into force in Jammu and Kashmir, with the administration of the Union Territory deciding not to open religious places and educational institutions but allowing hotels to operate entirely.

Save for those holding valid passes, there will be no inter-state and inter-district movement as the night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am will remain in effect until further orders.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam released the new guidelines on Friday night, which will continue until July 31. Before that, the administration released a fresh classification of districts in the categories “red,” “black” and “green” for the effective implementation of the guidelines aimed at controlling the COVID-19 spread.
