Jammu: The earthquake of magnitude 4.6 hit Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (June 30, 2020) at approximately 11:32 PM, according to the National Center for Seismology.
It was reported to have been 103 km east of Katra and is the second quake in the same region within 15 hours. The epicenter was located within 5 kilometers of the ground.
Earlier on Tuesday at 8:56 AM, a 4.0 earthquake on the Richter Scale struck 84 km east of the Katra region.
At the time of filing the copy, no damage or accident was reported. So far, more than five low-intensity tremors have been witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir in the month of June.
