Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday. Along with him, two leaders of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP were sworn in as ministers. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. As soon as Uddhav Thackeray arrived to take oath in saffron-colored clothes, he said, ‘Me Uddhav Bala Saheb Thackeray’ In the same way, there was a loud outburst from Shiv Sena in the entire Shivaji Park. During this time, tremendous fireworks were also seen. On this occasion, senior leaders of the three parties and thousands of workers were present. Eknath Shinde and Subhash Desai from Shiv Sena were also sworn in. Both Shinde and Desai are senior Shiv Sena leaders. Two senior party leaders Jayant Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal were also sworn in from the NCP quota. The Patil Maratha community then comes from the Bhujbal OBC category. Congress party state president Balasaheb Thorat and executive chairman Nitin Raut have been sworn in as ministers. Thorat, who took oath from Maharashtra Congress quota, is the face of the Maratha community and then the Raut Dalit community.
