 Priyam Garg has been named captain of the Indian team for the Under-19 World Cup 2020. Priyam said that father Naresh Garg has worked hard for his good life. I sold milk to be a cricketer and also became a driver. At the same time, the father said that if Priyam wins the World Cup for the country, then Cena will be wide. The tournament will begin in South Africa from 17 January. The final will be played on 9 February. India’s first match will be against Sri Lanka on 19 January.

Priyam, a resident of Fort Parikshitgarh in Meerut, said in an interview to the media on Monday, “My father wants to see me become a big cricketer. For this, he got me admitted to the good academy of Meerut. The financial condition of the family was not good. Then I was too young to understand this. Millions of people have high expectations from us. This is a huge responsibility.

According to the father, Priyam started playing cricket from the age of 8. The villagers used to say that he does good batting, so he should join the Cricket Academy of Meerut. The family’s financial condition was not good then. Despite this, the father got the Priyam to meet coach Sanjay Rastogi at Bhamashah Park in Meerut.

The mother wanted Priyam to become an officer. 
2011, Priyam’s mother Kusum Devi died due to illness. Priyam was then 11 years old. After this, he left to go to the academy. After his father explained, he started playing cricket again. The mother wanted the son to leave sports and concentrate on studies and become a big officer.

The father has left the work of milk. Currently, he is a driver in the Health Department. Priyam gets a good amount after selection in Ranji matches, due to which the conditions at home are now better than before. Sister Pooja, Jyoti, Reshu and brother Shivam have expressed happiness over Priyam becoming the captain.

Priyam scored 2 centuries in first class matches,
Priyam was born on 30 November 2000 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. They play with their state team. He played his first first class match against Goa in November 2018. Priyam has scored 867 runs in 12 first-class matches at an average of 66.69. He has 2 centuries and 5 half-centuries. The right-handed batsman has also scored a double century in the first class. He played for India-C, who was runner-up in the Deodhar Trophy. In the final, Priyam scored an innings of 74 against India-B.
