Talented Mizoram left Jerry Lalrinzuala on Thursday, after signing a new multi-year contract with the ISL outfit, prolonged his stay at the Chennaiyin FC.
Jerry has made 65 appearances for the club so far in the fifth season for Chennaiyin and has played a crucial role in the 2017-18 ISL title triumph, as he appeared in all but one game in that campaign.
“I am very happy last time out I extended my tenure at Chennaiyin after another unforgettable season. My journey with the club so far has been an amazing learning experience; everything connected with it over the years have turned me into the soccer player I am today, “said India International in a press release here.
“I can’t wait to be wearing the CFC jersey again and keep fighting for our loyal fans,” he said.
Chennaiyin FC co-owner Vita Dani said, “Jerry is a fantastic talent whose qualities have been nurtured over the years at Chennaiyin FC.
“We are extremely proud to see his growth, being a tenacious and gritty presence which has been a vital component of our recent success. And we are excited to see him further develop and contribute to the goals of the club.
A graduate of the AIFF Elite Academy, Jerry joined CFC in 2016 and in the same year became the youngest goal scorer for the league in a match against FC Goa. He made a friendly Senior Debut against Nepal in June 2017.
