Indian Batsman Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 58 coupled with another fifty from KL Rahul 56 and a handy 45 from captain Virat Kohli helped India thrash New Zealand by 6 wickets in the first of the five-match Twenty20 International series at the Eden Park in Auckland on Friday. Earlier, New Zealand had posted a challenging total of 203 for five from their allotted 20 overs. New Zealand opener Colin Munro was the top-scorer for the hosts with a knock of 59 while Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor also struck the fifties. For India, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 1 for 31 in his four overs. The second T20I will be played on Sunday.
