- Sanju Samson was not selected for the series against the Windies
- Angered by Samson not being selected, Harbhajan questioned the selection committee
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is unhappy with Sanju Samson not being selected for the West Indies series. He has demanded a change in the BCCI selection committee. He wrote this in response to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s tweet. Tharoor also expressed disappointment over Samson’s removal from the team without being fed.
A 15-member Indian team was announced last week for the series against the Windies, in which Samson was not given a place. In the tweet after the announcement of the team, Shashi Tharoor wrote, ‘I am very disappointed to see that Sanju Samson was removed from the team without giving a chance. He kept picking drinks during all three T20 matches and was immediately dropped from the team. Did they want to take his batting test or heart? ‘ Recently, Sanju was selected in the team for the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh, but he was not given a chance to play.
Harbhajan demanded change
Reacting to Tharoor’s tweet, Harbhajan wrote in his tweet, ‘I think they were taking his heartbreak test. # There should be a change in the selection committee, strong people are needed there … Hopefully Dada Sourav Ganguly will take necessary steps for this.
