New Delhi: Microsoft has said after experiencing a milestone quarter for gaming that it will launch Xbox gaming series this fall with the biggest launch lineup for any console ever.
According to Microsoft CEO Satya Madella, the Xbox Game Pass is experiencing rapid subscription growth for both the console and PC, which now features content from over 100 studios.
“We saw record dedication and monetization, powered by intensity on and off-console, as people everywhere turn to gaming to interact, socialize, and play with others,” he said during the earnings call after announcing the company’s fourth quarter results for its 2020 fiscal year.
“We are offering exclusive, first- and third-party content to attract and keep gamers. Xbox Series X will launch this fall with the biggest launch lineup ever for any console, and Minecraft has hit a record high of nearly 132 million active monthly users over the quarter,” he said.
The xCloud gaming service Microsoft now operates in 15 countries.
The company revealed last week that it would add xCloud to the Xbox Game Pass, allowing users to stream games to a phone or laptop and play around the world along with approximately 100 million Xbox Live fans.
